Prepared successful bid for £1.3M Innovate UK funding for development of a differentiated next-generation Linux server-class Edge Computing solution to enhance & diversify the company's business. Resourced & managed the project to successful conclusion. Technologies included electronics & enclosure design/manufacture to MIL-SPEC standards to enable fixed & mobile deployment in the most challenging industrial settings. Another key feature was accommodation of containerised Industrial IoT & Software Defined Networking applications & deployment of server nodes as Kubernetes enabled Edge-Cloud clusters 

Designed & led development of KSE's first automated information system. Later, was called back to lead independent acceptance testing of next-generation automated securities trading, depository & settlement system suppled by NASDAQ OMX

Led preparation for successful Saudi Telecom IPO. Later was called back to contribute to a risk management review of the Exchange required by the Saudi Capital Market Authority

Prepared winning bid for US Government funded automation of Iraq Stock Exchange as part of the post war reconstruction programme. Designed & led the implementation of the automated trading system, the securities depository, the settlement system, the undelying ICT infrastucture & the required secure private broadband wireless access network delivering a fully operational system on a turn-key basis. This included documentation in English & Arabic, training for exchange staff, exchange members & the Iraqi Securities Regulator

Designed & led implementation of a novel hybrid quote & order driven automated Securities Trading Platform & Clearing System to support NASDAQ's pan-european operations

Cofounded the Tradepoint Investment Exchange, the first alternative exchange to be authorised by the FSA (now FCA). Raised $50M venture capital & IPO development funding. The clean-sheet design became the model for most exchanges globally. Exited to group of Tier 1 Investment Banks, led by UBS. Tradepoint Board Members included Stanley Ross, founder Deutsche Bank Capital Markets and Eurobond Market pioneer, Sir Michael Jenkins, founder of LIFFE, Bob Wilkinson head of surveillance LSE, Sir Rony Cohen co-founder and Executive Chairman of Apax Partners

Architect of the first automated Gilts Book Entry Transfer Settlement System. Led delivery of the highly secure access network that passed muster with the Bank Inspectors

Designed & led the development of the information & trading systems underpinning the transformative Big Bang Programme that resulted in migration of securities trading from the physical floor to a system of screens & networks. Following this was appointed as acting CIO and produced a strategic plan to position the Exchange as a leading provider of automated trading and market data services that was subsequently fully enacted
